About Me
I’m Amy, a Manchester-based Post-Production & VFX student in my final year of study. Through hands-on experience in professional post-production houses and real-world projects, I’ve gained valuable industry insight, collaborating with clients and contributing to creative projects.
I’m a highly creative individual with a broad skill set across multiple areas of post-production, including editing, VFX, motion graphics, and color grading. I love learning and constantly pushing my skill set further, always looking for new ways to improve and expand my abilities.
As I take the next step in my career, I’m excited to keep growing, take on new challenges, and collaborate with like-minded professionals. I’m passionate about what I do and eager to make my mark in the industry.
Let’s create something great.
Industry work
As a Junior Editor on the commercial, film, and drone reels for JAR Post, I crafted dynamic narratives from raw footage, focusing on creating seamless, engaging edits. By selecting the strongest shots and integrating audio, I worked to enhance the storytelling while maintaining a polished, professional flow. These projects showcase my passion for editing and my ability to thrive in a fast-paced post-production environment.
University work
This is a short drama called Overtime, which I completed as part of an advanced editing module. I was responsible for the entire post-production process, including footage ingestion, proxy creation, sync mapping, and project setup in Avid. From there, I handled all aspects of editing, audio, motion graphics, and color grading. This project gave me the opportunity to manage every step of the process, refining my technical skills and creative eye to deliver a polished final piece.
This conceptual title sequence for Black Swan formed the practical component of my dissertation. Inspired by the film’s themes of identity, illusion, and transformation, I explored how the formal qualities of Baroque painting could be reimagined through digital animation. Using AI-generated and found imagery, I created a series of painterly stills, which I then processed in Photoshop and animated in After Effects using parallax, distortion, and layered motion. The result is a hybrid piece that merges traditional visual art with contemporary cinematic techniques. It reflects my interest in bridging theory and practice, and demonstrates my skills in compositing, stylised motion, and experimental storytelling.
This shortform video was created for a conceptual skincare brand, focusing on ingredient transparency and skin-kind messaging. Tailored for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok, the piece showcases a variety of creative skills across editing, motion design, and sound, all crafted to capture attention and convey the brand’s values in a fast-paced, mobile-first environment.
This video depicts the breakdown of a 3D perfume advert I created from start to finish. I modeled and built every element in the scene, carefully applied and refined textures, and rendered the final shots to achieve a polished, high-end look. To enhance the visual impact, I graded the footage and incorporated 2D fire overlays, adding depth and atmosphere to the final piece.
